Emerging researchers can publish their papers in the "Emerging Researchers" section of the journal.

The journal is a follow-up to the periodical Sborník prací Pedagogické fakulty Masarykovy univerzity, řada společenských věd (Proceedings of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University, series of social sciences) (published under this title until 2021). The journal is published twice a year. The first issue was published in 1959. The journal is published by the Department of History, Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. The periodical is included in the ERIH PLUS database. The journal has been published in A5 format since the transformation in 2022.
