Archaeologia historica is a prestigious peer-reviewed professional journal publishing original studies focused on archaeology of the Middle Ages and the early modern age including the 17th century, and on associated disciplines. In the sections Zprávy (Reports) and Kronika (Chronicle) it informs in brief about new publications, conferences, exhibitions and significant personalities. The journal, originally periodical proceedings of national and international conferences on medieval archaeology, was established in 1976 under the auspices of the Museum and Local History Society in Brno. It was in 2007 (after the death of Prof. PhDr. Vladimír Nekuda, DrSc., founder of the whole editorial series) that Prof. PhDr. Zdeněk Měřínský, CSc., vice-chairman of the Museum and Local History Society, was appointed editor-in-chief by the Board of the Museum and Local History Society in Brno, and editorial works were taken over by the Department of Archaeology and Museology, Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University in Brno.

Theatralia: Journal of Theatre Studies is a peer reviewed journal of theatre history and theory, issued by the Masaryk University (Department of Theatre Studies, Faculty of Arts) since 2009. The aim of the journal is to explore the previously neglected areas and issues of theatre history and theory, especially with regard to the Czech cultural context. The thematic scope of issued papers covers all the aspects of theatre performance and its production (acting, stage design, etc.), historical and theoretical issues, as well as interdisciplinary topics (e.g. performativity/theatricality). Special importance is assigned to the progressive tendencies in both the practical theatre-making and its theoretical reflection. The individual contributions vary from large-scale analytical studies to minor genres such as book reviews and reports on interesting events to unpublished sources (e.g. archival materials).

Études romanes de Brno (abbreviated as ERB) publishes original papers from Romance languages and literatures. Papers from Romance linguistics are dedicated to synchronic as well as diachronic aspects of Romance languages, applied linguistics of Romance languages and border disciplines that pay attention to Romance languages or to Romance languages in contact with other languages. In Romance literatures it focuses on history and current situation of Romance literatures and to Romance literatures and their reflection in dramas and films that according to their origin and cultural context belong to Romance languages speaking areas.

Journal of the Faculty of Education of the Masaryk University in Brno. The reviewed scientific journal is published twice a year since 2009 in cooperation with the University of Wrocław. The goal: Knowing the history and culture of not only the two neighbouring countries - Poland and the Czech Republic, but also the Central and Eastern Europe, Near East and the Middle Asia. Since February 2016, the journal has been included in the prestigious database of scientific journals ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences). The journal is included in the Web of Science from 2015.

Studia historica Brunensia is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal. It was established to publish contributions from the fields of Czech and general history (mainly of Central and Eastern Europe), as well as from auxiliary historical sciences and the history of administration. It places emphasis on the authenticity and originality of the contributions which are published. It provides space for publications by established academics as well as by authors who are at the start of their academic careers. The journal is published by Masaryk University (Department of History and Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archive Studies, Faculty of Arts, MU). It has been published twice a year (June/December) since 2009.

Journal of the Faculty of Education of the Masaryk University in Brno. The reviewed scientific journal is published twice a year since 2009 in cooperation with the University of Wrocław. The goal: Knowing the history and culture of not only the two neighbouring countries - Poland and the Czech Republic, but also the Central and Eastern Europe, Near East and the Middle Asia. Since February 2016, the journal has been included in the prestigious database of scientific journals ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences). The journal is included in the Web of Science from 2015.

Studia historica Brunensia is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal. It was established to publish contributions from the fields of Czech and general history (mainly of Central and Eastern Europe), as well as from auxiliary historical sciences and the history of administration. It places emphasis on the authenticity and originality of the contributions which are published. It provides space for publications by established academics as well as by authors who are at the start of their academic careers. The journal is published by Masaryk University (Department of History and Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences and Archive Studies, Faculty of Arts, MU). It has been published twice a year (June/December) since 2009.
