This project is based on the follow up ideas of previous InFormal projects, and aims to further develop the existing resources through contributing with new methodologies and reflecting ways to address current challenges jointly in formal and non-formal educational settings, while integrating new, creative methods. In order to achieve that we would like to use the existing partnership that unites organisations having expertise in youth work and teaching and to put more efforts on integrated thematic approach to the practice stage of “InFormal Evolution” and to focus more strategically on creating local impact during the practice phase. As such, the objectives of this project are:- To develop competencies of educators in the fields of human rights education, active citizenship, global education and inter-cultural learning- To explore diverse methodologies, approaches and tools and to adjust them to the local youth work and education practice- To reflect on recognition of youth work in formal schooling- Developing consistency of cross-sectoral and transnational cooperation for better recognition- To create a network of practitioners, able to adjust diverse/creative methodologies for formal schooling and speak “the same language” with schools educators. Intellectual outputs:- Minimum two online courses on the mentioned topics on inFormal platform available for the wide range of educators: www.informal.study - Minimum 10 creative tools adjusted for the formal schooling system tested and added on the platform- Handbook on how to use creative methodologies in formal and youthwork setting- Creation of inFormal cross-sectoral community of practitioners, working together at sustainable absis, sharing and acting on the platformThe project will unite youth workers, youth leaders, teachers, professors, community leaders, and youth policy makers coming from Czech Republic, Hungary, South Korea,Phillipines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Poland committed for long- term learning process and social change. As for the methods, all of them will be non-formal,no-frontal.By innovating their approaches partners can plan high quality projects and organize own trainings and multiplying the results of this projects separately in each country. Moreover, it is expected that this project will strenghten bonds between partner organizations providing opportunities for new projects together.

"The Project’s overall aim is to support Partner Country HEIs in building their capacity to develop and deliver high quality and specialisation academic programmes that can suitably prepare young scientists and professionals to provide applicable solutions to various societal problems, focusing on these resulting from climate change, mainly disaster risk vulnerability and susceptibility. In achieving so, the partnership will develop a specialised MSc in ""Geomatics for Disaster Risk Reduction"" of 120 ECTS that will be accredited and delivered in Partner Country HEIs. A notable share of academic, administrative and technical staff of Partner Country HEIs will have the opportunity to participate in Educational Study Visits and Trainings that will provide them with the necessary supplies to not only effectively deliver the MSc, but also transfer their skills and knowledge to their colleagues, multiplying the effects of these capacity building activities. All teaching and learning material that will be used during the capacity building activities for staff, as well as a comprehensive introductory training programme to the specific topics of the MSc for prospective students, will be included in the interactive Virtual “GIS for DRR” Learning Environment (VLE) that will be developed for the Project. Since the delivery of such a specialised and technology-oriented MSc requires a high-quality level of corresponding facilities, a fully equipped ""GIS for DRR” Laboratory will be established in each Partner Country HEI. Through a range of dissemination events, the Project will reach multiple target groups, including local communities, public authorities of local, regional, and national level, labour market actors, policy makers, etc., aiming not only to disseminate the Project, but also raise awareness about climate change impact on disaster risk, and facilitate exploitation and sustainability of results."

The GECKO project aims to develop student capabilities and improve student employability through the exchange of good practices and the development of regional cooperation in higher education in three ASEAN countries (the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand). The project specifically targets engineering students, aiming to provide them with the necessary management and linguistic skills to become attractive to both local and international employers. The project will support two major academic activities, in order to better adapt the current curriculum to the local labour market, thus promoting regional integration. The 1st activity includes the development and implementation of a multidisciplinary curriculum by international academic teams in order to enrich teaching and learning in the classroom and at home. This new curriculum will be supported by innovative teaching materials and modern teaching technologies such as online tools, MOOC, SPOC and e-learning. The 2nd activity focuses on improving regional cooperation to promote open-minded, critical, and innovative thinking in international teams. This will result in turn in the development of curriculum that encapsulates both global and regional aspects. Master students will participate in these joint initiatives that will be enhanced by ICT-based tools, to acquire the skills needed to be effective global citizens. In terms of multi-skills and innovative digital tools, teacher training is also one of GECKO’s central components and will be implemented through a theoretical and practical approach (E-learning session, exchange of experience, staff weeks, etc.). The project therefore facilitates the transfer, of knowledge and understanding of the multi-skills, leading in turn to a better employability for engineering students in Asia. This knowledge can be applied and developed, from the end of the project onwards, on all of the courses at the partner universities, and in the long term throughout ASEAN universities.
