Context: The achievement of the objectives set in the European policies for the conservation and sustainable use of geodiversity require intensifying efforts for their proper integration and consideration in sectoral policies, since only in this way will the positive links between the conservation of geological heritage be understood and reinforced. and economic and social development. This demand is especially required in the tourism sector, one of the most important in terms of its economic impact on a European level.Geodiversity is increasingly being one of the factors that motivate travel, since the variety of geological landscapes and their well-preserved ecosystems act as a basic attraction of tourist destinations. These destinations have been reinforced with the creation of the Geoparks figures. After the execution of this project, a very practical and transferable documentation has been obtained to all the areas recognized as Geopark or, in general, to all those areas with important geological heritage. Knowing the bases of geology, its names, its causes and effects, the fact of encountering geology on a daily basis, knowing the European geological heritage, the characteristics of the underground heritage, often overlooked, what are Geoparks, how they work and The existing network and finally how to undertake Geotourism once the typology of tourists has been known and recognized, are the essential bases for developing Geotourism products with the quality demanded by the 21st Century Tourist.OBJECTIVE: Generate the content of two new units of competence at the European level that respond to the demand for the creation and promotion of geological tourism products in relation to geodiversity: • Provide support and assistance services to tourists and visitors and design geotourism itineraries through points of geological interest. • Interpret the geological heritage and its values to tourists and visitors to European Geoparks. RECIPIENTS:The direct beneficiaries have been people who have actively participated in the development of the project who, in addition to the staff of social entities, have been all the people who have participated in seminars, multiplier events, etc. in addition to the people who have visited the web and downloaded the materials. Likewise, the stakeholders as well as, indirectly, all the students of the educational centers in the areas of influence of the social entities. A total of 7,200 direct and indirect beneficiaries are estimated to be involved in the execution of the project activities as well as their dissemination and transfer: • Geologists and geology students • Experts in geological heritage. • Environmental managers. • Guides and interprets nature. • Local development agents. • Leisure, active tourism, free time and nature companies. • Education and training centers and authorities. • Young people who enter a situation of unemployment. • Adults in a situation of reconversion and long-term unemployed. ACTIVITIES: A) Intellectual Products: • Contents and units of competence. • Pedagogical materials (Teaching Units). • Multimedia materials • Training course for the validation of competences. B) Multiplier events:176 participants • Dissemination seminars = 316 participants. C) Joint training event for staff = 18 participants D) Others: • Transnational Meetings, 4 Meetings, one of them virtual due to COVID • Collaboration agreements with interested parties, 33.• Online content, updated the web with all the information • Social networks (Facebook and twitter) • Results Dissemination Plan. METHODOLOGY: A) Design of a basic non-formal training plan to encourage entrepreneurship, competitiveness and job placement through the development and acquisition of skills and competencies related to the real needs of Geoparks. B) Integration of an innovative approach to teaching and learning in geotourism, through an integrated use of NNTT. C) Promotion of equal opportunities and employability in the area of influence of the Geoparks. E) Establishment of a Dissemination Plan to provide information on the results of the project to key stakeholders. RESULTS: • Result 1: Training modules. Digital document consisting of 351 pages in 6 languages. • Result 2: e-learning course. Impact: 172 students. • Result 3: Multimedia material. Impact: 5 teaching units in at least 16 multimedia resources • Result 4: Project website. Impact: users.• Result 5: Dissemination seminars. Impact: 13 seminars = 316 participants • Result 6: Transnational meetings. Impact: 4 meetings with 42 participants.

ICT-BIOCHAIN brings leading experts and support networks to develop Digital Innovation Hubs within ready-made test bed bioeconomy regions to examine opportunities for ICT, IoT and Industry 4.0. to increase the efficiency of high potential value biomass supply chains. In 2016, the EU selected 6 "model demonstrator regions" to lead the way towards sustainable chemical production. Within ICT-BIOCHAIN, two of these high potential Model Demonstrator Regions, South East Ireland and Andalusia, will serve as test bed locations for the development of digital innovation hubs for biomass mobilisation. The competence centres will provide access within hubs to the best knowledge, information and technology to promote opportunities for ICT, IoT and Industry to be integrated into biomass supply chains. This will support the development of the EU bioeconomy by facilitating greater availability of competitively priced and sustainable biomass. ICT-BIOCHAIN will build on the work done in improving forestry biomass supply chains through integration of ICT tools, transferring state-of-the-art and new ICT, IoT and Industry 4.0 solution to region specific biomass supply chains. To ensure commercial opportunities are realised, project will build on ongoing regional bioeconomy developments and opportunities identified in existing Investment Readiness Analyses carried out for the Model Demonstrator Regions. To ensure consistency of regional biomass data sets, the ICT-CHAIN platform will build upon previous data sets tested within the Scottish Model Demonstrator Region. Once region-specific opportunities are identified, value chain coalitions of multi-actors will be developed through intensive knowledge transfer activities. Finally, the project will build networks with other bioeconomy regions, providing a roadmap and training to allow further replication of digital innovation hubs for the biobased sector in Europe.

Europe’s regional authorities have a crucial role to play as agents of just, inclusive and resilient economic development for their territories. ROBIN sets out to empower them to fulfil this role with support to co-shape their governance structures and models in ways that accelerate the deployment of their circular bioeconomy targets, while also promoting social innovation and accounting for different territorial contexts. To this end, we establish and demonstrate the potential of innovative circular bioeconomy governance structures and models in 5 European Regions within Ireland, Germany, Spain, Slovakia and Greece. Our journey begins by setting-up Multi-Actor Regional Constellations engaging key quadruple helix stakeholders to co-create and work alongside novel governance structures, well-embedded within existing organisational structures of our regions and mandated to coordinate and execute circular bioeconomy strategies with and for the entire actor ecosystem and to coordinate effectively with the CCRI-CSO. Along the way, we provide them with tailored support for enhanced and more inclusive stakeholder engagement, as well as a practical toolbox to improve the design, operation and monitoring of their governance models. In parallel, a monitoring and evaluation framework will gauge the performance and impact of our support actions and tools, providing quantifiable evidence of their economic, social and environmental impact. We will use this evidence to engage over 10 additional European regional authorities to test our tools and make a concrete case for their transferability, while also offering mutual learning and capacity building opportunities. In the process we coordinate our actions with the CCRI-CSO and complementary European initiatives to facilitate the dissemination of our results, ensuring their long-term sustainability as viable solutions for supporting EU regions in adopting governance models that facilitate the transition to a Circular Bioeconomy.
