The purpose of this project was to focus on interpersonal relationships building between deaf and hearing youngsters who share multiple borders in everyday life : spatial, social and intersubjective. The communicative incompatibility between this two public leads in society life to relational and interactional barriers, generating an unbalanced relationship between them. In the context of such eternal communicative failure process, social inclusion of deaf people becomes a real and difficult challenge. The objective of this project was to get together deaf and hearing youngsters in the field of non-formal education and to experience a possible deaf-hearing rapprochement beyond a sharing of language skills in a commun learning space. This non-formal education pedagogical intervention aimed to encourage young people to explore their own communication resources (self-knowledge) in order to cultivate rapprochement with others (knowledge of otherness), considering that developing such relational skills is a main step to transform attitudes which will make possible the construction of inclusive society. For this purpose, during 9-days meeting of deaf and hearing youngsters we experienced the practice of Capoeira, known in our days as a methodology of inclusion projects with strong relational building potential. As an art of the body, Capoeira works body expression and communication, and is often used in the framework of non formal education. Recognized for its creative aspect and being adaptable for all, it is mostly used in an inclusive perspective. This art aims therefore to create a non-verbal interaction between the bodies and establish an effective and balanced communication. Thus, capoeira becomes an inclusive practice developing positive interactions between the learners. In this project, we believed that learning to practice the bases of Capoeira in an intercultural deaf and hearing context can be a resource to overcome linguistic, social, spatial and inter-subjective barriers. In order to measure its success during the project, we have relied on the indicators of overcoming these interpersonal barriers through Capoeira, .The activities of Capoeira through the « Jogos » and « Rodas » allowed the liberation of body barriers (know-how skills) which leaded to the reinforcement of relational skills (know to be skills). The learning of Relational skills (Intelligences) can be measured by the learning achievements that we could observe during the whole project, which are : self-esteem; self-confidence; non-verbal communication skills; artistic skills; ability to face challenges creatively; respect for one's own limits and those of the other; the construction of interpersonal interactions, cooperation and solidarity; awareness of each other. In conclusion this experience has reached its objectives which have been projected in a triple construction : discovery of oneself (his won capacities and communicational ressources), the discovery of the other and the possible communication building. In that way, we conclude that this pragmatic experience of positive interaction has been transformed into a relational learning process. This relational capacity building can be considered to be the first step to lead to the construction of our inclusive society.

The main objective of the SMART-Control project is to reduce the risks in the application of sustainable groundwater management techniques worldwide through the development and implementation of an innovative web-based, real-time monitoring and control system (RMCS) in combination with risk assessment and management tools. Managed aquifer recharge (MAR) represents an efficient water reuse technique to restore groundwater-dependent ecosystem services. Despite its wide benefits, the contribution of MAR to safe water supply at global scale is still limited. The reasons include lack of data on MAR technological costs, hydrogeological site-specific characteristics, the associated risks with operational challenges and the lack of national regulations. The lack of detailed and up-to-date monitoring data hinders the reliable setup and calibration of numerical models for risk assessment in nature-based systems such as MAR facilities. The implementation of RMCS will not only enable the assessment and management of risks at MAR sites but also decrease the uncertainties in numerical models. The SMART-Control framework consists of a cloud-based monitoring and modelling framework for real-time groundwater management where time series data collected from sensor networks installed at selected MAR sites will be remotely transferred and automatically fed into real-time simulation-optimization algorithms. The proposed system will include three main components: 1) in-situ real-time monitoring system consisting of sensors installed on-site coupled with pre-processing algorithms; 2) web-based modelling and monitoring platform including automated optimization and control algorithms, model update tool to incorporate real-time data into numerical flow and transport models and a prediction tool to involve climate change and water demand scenarios and 3) a set of risk assessment and management tools to evaluate MAR-associated risks. This smart innovative framework for MAR (SMART-Control) will allow for real-time control and risk assessment of MAR facilities at any stage of development so that implementation, management and operational capabilities are improved. In addition, the development of risk assessment guidelines for the application of MAR ensures that the implementation of the solution is supported by a legal framework. The approach will be tested at six MAR sites (pilot to full-scale) in Germany, France, Brazil and Cyprus. Each case study represents a different MAR setting in terms of infiltration method, boundary conditions, objectives, quality and quantity of recharged and recovered water, operational scheme, as well as technical and ecological constraints. The variety of case studies ensures that the SMART-Control framework can be applied to various environmental and operational conditions to promote and improve the integrated water resources management techniques. In addition, a cost-benefit analysis will study the benefits of SMART-Control and vast training activities will ensure its dissemination. The approach will bring real-time evidence that despite MAR is a nature-based solution, risks associated with the implementation and operation can be managed and controlled and demonstrates that it is a safe and reliable technique for integrated water resources management. The international consortium consists of nine full partners comprised of four universities, three research institutes and two companies. Additionally, associated partners involving water works, water managers and stakeholders in the participating countries support the project and benefit directly from the project outcomes.

Its main objectives have been: -Modernising and improving the services provided by Latin American HEIs to support social and educational inclusion. -Providing the different university stakeholders (Academic and non-academic staff, Governmental bodies, etc.) with the requested tools for students’ upskilling to favour their inclusion in a university context. The consortium was composed of 11 institutions from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Italy, Portugal, Germany, and Spain. All partners were committed to guarantee an everlasting cooperation that has been particularly ensured by the official creation of the SOLIDARIS Network, and the arrangement of multiple bilateral cooperation agreements at governance, research and academic level. The project has been led by University of Seville, technically coordinated by its Department of Social Pedagogy. The main project outcomes of the project were:-Definition of a common framework of 6 key competences for educational, social and labour inclusion of students. -State of play of each involved university with regards the accomplishment of measures to guarantee the acquisition of the abovementioned key competences for inclusion. -Development and testing of a self-assessment tool of students’ competences.-Design of a training pathway to support those students -Development of an online platform to ensure the sustainability and transferability of the training developed. -Creation of the Trainers’ guideline to deliver the training (Available also online). -Training for teaching and non-teaching staff involved on students’ inclusion processes.- Establishment of permanent offices in LA HEIs to give support to all University community to enhance inclusion. -Creation of an international network about social inclusion in a university context that will facilitate a space for debate, reflexion and development of common proposals. -International Publication about Inclusive Universities with contributions from all partners’ HEIs. -Modernisation of some University equipment addressed to the Community Support Offices. Even though the COVID 19 pandemic was an obstacle to finalise some activities, organizing face to face events and allowing partners to travel, it was also an opportunity to reach other results, such as: -Reaching a bigger and more international audience through the organization of virtual training and dissemination activities. -Reinforcing the online platform (WEBQUEST) and the interaction among trainees. -Raising awareness of the importance of digitalisation as other key aspect to guarantee a full inclusion at university. -Creation of an International online Congress about Inclusive Universities (CIUIS).

As a result, the leadership of the majority of the research initiatives in this field are always dipped to external research operators no always qualified in the multidisciplinary scope and scientific culture.LATWORK is targeted at the development of the HEI innovation and research capacities to:Upgrade the research leadership role of HEI in the field of informal jobs and informal economy.Transfer high quality of research outputs in this field.Raise de commitment of researchers, academics and policy makers with the research on informal labour market.
