By integrating the insights and technological advancements from these previous initiatives, FERTITEC is positioned to deliver a comprehensive solution for waste recycling and sustainable fertiliser production from secondary raw materials. The principal objectives of this group of related projects, that FERTITEC aligns with and supports, are to transform waste into high-quality fertilisers, promote a circular economy, and mitigate environmental impact, thereby aligning with the EU's goals of sustainable agriculture, waste reduction, and bioeconomy enhancement. FERTITEC is commited to develop competitive fertilisers that are not only benefit agricultural yield but also promote a circular economy model, aligning with the EU's strategic focus. This dual focus of environmental sustainability and economic viability resonates with the objectives of our previous projects, which aimed to boost the marketability of bio-based products and harmonise global sustainability certification systems respectively. By involving key actors from the agriculture sector and facilitating multi-stakeholder discussion through our KEP, FERTITEC fosters a community-driven approach to boost sustainable innovation in the fertiliser sector. We seek to make a tangible impact at national and regional levels, by deploying our best availalbe fertilising techniques in several EU countries, as well as extrapolationg our outcomes to the African Union landscape by providing practical recommendations and guidelines. Overall with FERTITEC we aim the adoption of our alternative fertilising products and the wider transformation of the agricultural sector globally.

It positions its innovations both at the level of intervention on the field and the capturing of the effects of PA over time, intelligently exploiting the information acquired before, during and after direct intervention on the field. AgriBIT combines augmented GNSS and EO information with 1) on-field and on-machine sensors and actuators, and 2) expert agricultural knowledge to deliver simple, high precision and continuously available services. It develops and extends advanced Artificial Intelligence algorithms to fully exploit this rich set of inputs to recommend actions to farmers building on past history and present context and to ease their workload through improved automation. AgriBIT delivers operational services (3 GNSS-enabler services, 8 GNSS-enabled services) and 1 European sourced high precision GNSS affordable receiver that cover the complete value chain of PA, from monitoring to application and precise and automated machinery guidance. With 70% of European farmers active in small to medium operations, AgriBIT’s European sourced high precision GNSS receiver at an affordable price is a major technological and societal contribution to Europe’s farming community. AgriBIT delivers collaboration services supporting farmers and service advisors, but also 3rd party developers for whom open interfaces are provided both at service level and as channels for advanced Big Data Analytics innovations. Over 36 months, AgriBIT includes 20 months piloting at 3 locations, 12 months testing of collaboration services and delivers TRL-8 results. AgriBIT involves 5 solution providers (4 SMEs), 1 research centre and 2 farmers cooperatives with 11.250 members.

BEACON will enable insurance companies to alleviate the effect of weather uncertainty when estimating risk for Agricultural Insurance products, reduce the number of on-site visits for claim verification, reduce operational and administrative costs for monitoring of insured indexes and contract handling, and design more accurate and personalized contracts. Through an early warning service they will be able to inform their customers (farmers) for potential crop risks related with weather conditions, and advise them to take all the necessary actions to mitigate the impact of weather in their crops. EO data derived by Copernicus Sentinel missions as well as by missions contributing to Copernicus will be used to develop the data products that will act as a complementary source to the information used by insurance companies to design their products and assess natural disasters. Weather intelligence based on data assimilation, numerical weather prediction and ensemble seasonal forecasting will be used to verify the occurrence of a catastrophic weather event and to predict future perils. ICT / blockchain technology will be used for the smart contract service, to provide insurance companies with an automated method for paying out damages to insured parties. The BEACON services will be deployed in the operational environment of more than 10 companies in the insurance sector, openly demonstrating and validating its value proposition and acceptance as a marketable commercial solution. A business model will be developed and validated using the Lean Start-up methodology, and a global roll-out of BEACON will be designed.

DIANA will leverage EO data provided by Copernicus and other data sources as well as state-of-the-art models for the identification of (illegally) irrigated areas and the estimation of abstracted water volumes in order to offer a value added suite of data products and services, that will be affordable and cost-effective. The value propositions of DIANA will be co-created and defined along with users and stakeholders so as to be shaped according to their needs and requirements. Three pilots will be deployed in order to put them to the test in real operational environments of Spain, Italy and Romania. All pilots will be integrated with the work flows of the users and their results will be co-evaluated and validated with them through a multi-layer methodology, fostering the acceptance of DIANA as a marketable solution. In order to ensure the demand-driven design of the DIANA service platform as well as set the stage for its market launch and uptake following the end of the project, a customer-driven business modelling process will be followed during the project, validating its business case and producing an effective business plan to serve as the roadmap for its post-project commercialization. Finally, DIANA is implemented by a transnational and well-balanced consortium, consisting of innovative SMEs and pioneering authorities, all of which possess the complementary expertise as well as the motivation and commitment required to ensure not only the creation of meaningful project outcomes but also their successful commercial exploitation and sustainability.

Every second of every day, businesses exchange items with suppliers, partners, customers and others. Items mean goods, services, money, data and more. Such exchanges are transactions, that need to be reliable, precise and agreed among the participants. Moreover, in many transactions, the fully automation is not possible, it is needed a trusted centralized entity. In many cases, the human intercession is needed to certify the proper execution of such transaction (audit, public notaries, third-party certifier…). Blockchain aims to enable automatic transactions, reducing the "trust tax" among stakeholders. It is being used in more and more domains. However, Blockchain cannot fully ensure that the digitally recorded information is taken in a certain location and time. The automated and trusted Proof of Location has not been fully achieved without the human intercession. A reliable and affordable source of positioning/timing data is essential to achieve the automated verification of location and time. The new service Open Service Navigation Message Authentication (OS-NMA) of Galileo will provide authentication of the navigation data, in order to determine if the data used for processing was produced by the satellites or falsified. The overall goal of SPACE4GREENERis to propose a technological solution that enable a trusted platform among stakeholders of different nature for the automated certification that an activity occurs or a thing is in a location in a certain point of time, without requiring a third-party human certification. The solution is based on the integration of Galileo OS-NMA signals and Blockchain with smart devices and mobile platforms that will produce a trusted information and share it among the stakeholders. The benefit of such approach is applicable to multiple domains, but the technical validation will be focused on Agrifood and fishing scenarios.
