HSbooster.eu will increase the European standardisation impact coming from H2020 & Horizon Europe Research & Innovation projects, by designing, launching, and managing a dedicated booster-type initiative. HSbooster.eu will draw from the positive and practical experience of the H2020 CSA StandICT.eu and two previous Boosters (Common Dissemination Booster, CDB & Horizon Results Booster, HRB) and it will: a) Design and implement an effective range of Automated, Proactive, and Premium Services to boost standardisation results from European-led initiatives; b) Launch & manage a robust and efficient Facility to serve R&I projects over 30 months, also owing to an External Pool of Experts to support the Premium Services delivered; c) Deliver a Training Academy of next generation of standardisation experts; d) Enjoy steering from an authoritative Expert Advisory Group, tapping directly into the WGs & TCs of SDOs, tackling EU priorities, challenges & gaps. HSbooster.eu is proposed by a lean Consortium of Partners with extensive experience in the Standardisation landscape Trust-IT Srl (IT), the Coordinator of StandICT.eu and CDB, Dublin City University (IE), an active player in SDO WGs & TCs and in educating future standards experts, Dansk Standard (DE), with a track record in increasing European impact on the international standards scene, University of Belgrade (RS), experts in delivering training packages to support standardisation efforts, and SGS (ES), experts in certification. The IAM4RE.eu project seeks to redefine entrepreneurship by emphasizing the valorization of intellectual assets (IA) and standardisation in PROs and academic institutions. Despite existing efforts, there remains a significant gap in early-stage support for managing these assets, essential for creating and strengthening spin-offs from research activities. The project aims to support PROs and their spin-offs in aligning their entrepreneurial efforts with key EU guidelines and Codes of Practice. IAM4RE.eu facilitates a transition from IP management to a broader IA management framework, moving beyond simple commercialization to focus on value creation that can benefit the broader innovation ecosystem. The initiative will focus on capacity-building and the development of modular educational resources, including training suites, a massive open online course (MOOC), and a "train-the-trainer" program, aimed at enhancing skills in knowledge valorization and standardization across Europe. The project will also create and support the delivery of practical tools and services to help PROs and AcIs implement these practices effectively and will produce Policy Guidelines for PROs decision-makers supporting the transition towards more effective internal IAM. All contents will be tested through real-world application in selected PROs to ensure their effectiveness, with the ultimate goal of scaling these practices across Europe. The consortium, comprising leading EU organizations in entrepreneurship, IAM, and standardization, will leverage their collective expertise to design and deliver educational content, services, and policy guidelines. The IAM4RE.eu project emphasizes long-term sustainability, with strategies in place for the dissemination of its outputs, direct exploitation of KERs, including establishing a community of practice to ensure ongoing impact.

Standards significantly impact EU’s GDP, its competitiveness in global markets, but also the promotion of the Single Market and are key instruments for disseminating its core values and supporting its New Industrial Strategy and Green Deal. Likewise, they are essential for efficiently developing the digital, data-driven and, and green economy, and supporting the EU’s interests in global markets and are perceived as important future tools for disseminating its core values. Nevertheless, EU stakeholders do not fully exploit the opportunities of standardisation. The number of the EU’s standardisation experts is insufficient, in particular in international committees; a pool of young professionals from the EU entering standardisation are missing is needed. Standardisation education can address these challenges, but is underdeveloped and fragmented at all EU education levels. Edu4Standards.eu addresses this by specifying standardization skills needed in the EU, analyzing the fragmented teaching landscape and its gaps, and developing an Innovative Teaching Concept on Standardardisation (ITCoS) suitable for various study contexts and specifically considering digital, green, and social aspects. Edu4Standards.eu involves all levels from BSc to professional education and all key stakeholders, represented by 11 HEIs from 9 countries, CEN incl. 27 national NSBs, 1 RTO, 3 SMEs, and extensive stakeholder networks with >300 organisations and an External Advisory Group with all international standardization bodies and industry representatives. Main outputs: ITCoS, 5 pilots with robust and efficient direct and distant standards teaching modules, 15 EU Academic Standardisation Days, a Students’ Standardisation Association, a CEN Workshop Agreement and a EU Roadmap for Standardisation on Education. On this basis, Edu4Standards.eu aims to facilitate standards education in more than 100 HEI (Bsc. and Msc. courses) and contribute to additional 5,000 standards experts p. a. by 2027.
