Tunisian EURAXESS Network or the TEN project is the initiative led by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to boost and encourage the mobility between Tunisia and the European Research Area (ERA). The objectives consist of enhancing the researchers’ mobilities between both zones. The EURAXESS portal, including the Tunisian national portal which will be developed during the project, will be the concentration point of all the news and useful information about the researcher's mobility and career support that may be needed. More specifically; - The outgoing researchers will be provided with all the information necessary in order to facilitate their mobility and their integration. - The incoming researchers will also find information to help in their integration and will be supported by the EURAXESS Service Centres and EURAXESS Contact Points that will offer help and services all along with their stay in Tunisia. - The non-mobile researchers will be able to find career development resources and will be able to exploit the partnering possibilities that the portal offers. Thanks to the implementation of the project throughout three years in the shape of 5 work packages, all of the actors mentioned above will benefit from the TEN experience. They will be supported and accompanied by specialized skilled staff (WP3, WP4) in order to enhance their experience. They will also be constantly contacted during their mobilities to receive their feedback and provide a follow-up. The mobile and non-mobile researchers may benefit from the TEN portal where they can have access to different types of information (WP2). This information will also be available through dissemination and communication (WP5). These collaborations and projects are encouraged with the goal of reinforcing relations between Tunisia and other European Research Area (ERA) – and beyond and broadening the outreach of the EURAXESS networks.

‘GREEN NIGHT’ is the second experience of Tunisia (after the 'LiLa JemILA' project which has been granted the status of associated event during the last edition) in the European Researchers’ Night after being associated to H2020. A diverse team of experts in scientific research and science communication, from the research and innovation community along with Civil Society Organizations (CSO), have been gathered by the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR) having the sole target of the organization of the Researcher's Night activities for the year 2020. Deeply aware that researchers are an integral part of the community and that their profession is both fun, challenging, interesting and worth pursuing, the MHESR has fixed as main objective of the project to bring them to the general public and to increase awareness of research and innovation activities specifically leading to a cleaner environment and a better quality of life. Key issues will be enhancing the public recognition of researchers' work, a better understanding of the impact of their work on citizen's daily life, and encouraging young people to embark on research careers developed to ensure real sustainability, zero pollution, affordable secure energy, smarter transport and high quality foods. To achieve these objectives the multi-sites GREEN NIGHT will be held in the Tunisian Science City (CST), the Monastir Science Palace (PSM) and the Science Village of Tataouine (VST), on the 25th September 2020 (starting during Friday afternoon and lasting till Saturday morning). A series of activities will be conducted before and during these events based on an eco-friendly model that will aim a ZERO pollution level by using a paperless approach, less plastic, less ink, less fossil fuels and reducing the amounts of waste generated.

The promotion of Biotechnology adapted to the needs and priority problems of Tunisia will help reduce its dependence on the outside world and promote its autonomy. The emergence of new technologies in the Biotechnology has encouraged the renewal of industrial strategies and the growth of innovative companies creating new jobs. The present project aims at modernizing higher education, strengthening the LMD reform and consolidating the quality of education in Tunisian biotechnology institutes in order to improve the qualifications and qualification of graduates in order to guarantee a better insertion rate in the labor market in various sectors: pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and environmental industries. It aims particularly to make the training courses in the biotechnology paths more professional to match the needs of the world of work and thus optimize the employability, the speed of integration and the entrepreneurship spirit of graduates. This project proposal aligns with higher education reforms in the partner country (Tunisia) which promote university-business cooperation and encourage new learning methods based primarily on entrepreneurship. The project will be enriched by the contributions of the European universities members of the project through the transfer of expertise and good practices for quality training compatible with European standards and meeting the socio-economic needs of Tunisia.
