<< Background >>The European Skills Agenda for Sustainable Competitiveness, Social Fairness and Resilience (2020) emphasises the fact that “in order to succeed, lifelong learning available for everybody must become reality in Europe”. Acquisition of skills required in a given position should become the guiding principle behind these efforts. Many persons attend schools where digital transformation is delayed. The lack of modern school equipment may constitute one of reasons for the delay. As the partnership evaluates, an important role may be played by closer cooperation between vocational schools and their environment through a connecting element, such as a school employee with the competence of “coordination of the cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors”. The project activities correspond with initiatives for the achievement of the European Education Area until 2025 through the elimination of barriers to learning. The project is to respond to the VET NEEDS in the partner countries and in the EU. There are no training offers, teaching materials concerning the way of cooperation between the school and its environment to acquire e.g. equipment for schools, organise apprenticeships and practices in companies.NEEDS OF THE PARTNERSHIP:- extension of an educational offer to the options of professional development for leaders/coordinators of cooperation between schools and their environment, in particular within the scope of acquisition of companies to sponsor the buy of state-of-the-art equipment,- no interactive, activating digital tools supporting the development of digital skills and the acquisition of professional competence by trainees, so that they would be able to cooperate with school environment,- no procedures and tools for remote validation and certification of professional competence,- maladjustment of VET education to technologies/tools applied on the labour market.NEEDS OF THE TARGET GROUP:Surveys, interviews with teachers from vocational schools and with training institutions conducted by the project partners show that the partner countries:- have no leaders in vocational schools with regard to cooperation with environment,- have no tools for such a cooperation,- experience maladjustment of vocational education to the labour market’s needs,- experience maladjustment of VET education to technologies/tools applied on the labour market,- have no teaching materials, including e-learning resources, to prepare leaders of cooperation with environment.<< Objectives >>OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT: Improvement of the quality of vocational education through the development of tools for cooperation/sponsorship/further retrofitting of vocational education labs with equipment corresponding with the labour market for VET teachers/heads/workshop managers until 31 October 2024.SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:1. Improvement of quality assurance in VET through selection of a leader for cooperation with environment in a vocational school,2. Contribution to innovations in the VET area through the introduction of a more attractive curriculum compliant with individual needs and expectations of participants,3. Extension of the VET offer with a developed comprehensive educational offer entitling school staff to acquire competences in cooperation with environment,4. More attractive education through the application of remote learning, thus promotion of digital development of school staff,5. Making it possible for participants to remotely confirm their acquired competence (validation and certification).<< Implementation >>Partners have agreed that six activities would be performed as part of the project:- IO.1. Profile of professional competence within the scope of “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors”,- IO.2. Modular training program within the scope of a new competence “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors” in relation to the ECVET requirements,- IO.3. Set of educational packages for a trainer and a trainee within the scope of a new competence “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors”,- IO.4. E-learning training within the scope of a new competence “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors”,- IO.5. Test bank to diagnose the trainee’s level of competence and individualise learning process,- IO.6. Procedures for validation and environmental certification of a new competence “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors”.According to the European Skills Agenda for Sustainable Competitiveness, Social Fairness and Resilience (2020), striving for the acquisition of skills required in a given position has been the guiding principle of activities performed by the partners. It means that identification and grouping of a set of learning outcomes in the form of a competence profile is the starting point of project activities. The developed competence profile shall initiate further actions that are closely logically connected. Identified project content shall be applied for the development of curriculum, teaching materials for intramural and remote learning, tools for validation and certification of qualifications (test bank, procedures for validation and certification).Through e-learning we are contributing to the improvement and extension of trainees’ digital competences. As part of their activities, partners shall confront a problem of the majority of EU states, i.e. recognition of professional competence acquired in the self-learning process (outside the educational system) and related individualisation of a learning path through the recognition of acquired learning outcomes (Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal Learning: Country Practise (2010), Report of the Special Rapporteur on the right to education: realizing the right to education through non-formal education (2017), Integrated Skills Strategy 2030 (2019)). Therefore, the partner institutions decided to develop procedures for validation and certification of learning outcomes acquired as part of training. For the validation purposes, there shall be developed a test bank and questions therefrom shall also be applied to identify a trainee’s competence level to enter a modular unit. The test bank supports also the compliance with the Council’s recommendations as to automatic mutual recognition, including the promotion of recognition of formal education and cross-functional competence developed through non-formal and informal education. Application of the test bank contributes to automatic mutual recognition of qualifications and learning outcomes in the partnership. The offered tools and procedures shall contribute to the process of remote validation of competence acquired as part of informal and non-formal training, as well as individualisation of a teaching/learning process.<< Results >>Therefore, the following HARD RESULTS shall be achieved during the project activities and at its end:1) Publication: Profile of professional competence within the scope of “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors” (in five language versions: Polish, Greek, Danish, Spanish, English),2) Publication: Modular training program within the scope of a new competence “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors” in relation to the ECVET requirements (in five language versions: Polish, Greek, Danish, Spanish, English),3) Publication: Set of educational packages for a trainer and a trainee within the scope of a new competence “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors” (in five language versions: Polish, Greek, Danish, Spanish, English)4) E-learning training within the scope of a new competence “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors” (in five language versions: Polish, Greek, Danish, Spanish, English),5) Test bank to diagnose the trainee’s level of competence and individualisation of learning process (in five language versions: Polish, Greek, Danish, Spanish, English),6) Publication: Procedures for validation and environmental certification of a new competence “coordination of cooperation between an educational institution and external companies, including acquisition of sponsors” (in five language versions: Polish, Greek, Danish, Spanish, English).SOFT RESULTS:1) Improvement of competences of 120 participants of events disseminating the project results - seminars disseminating and improving the project results,2) Extension of knowledge and experience 100 participants of an international conference disseminating the project results.
