There are 5 project objectives: Diagnose the knowledge (skills) that future professionals of social tourism in Europe should have. Design the necessary materials so that the training centres can develop this training (manuals, materials, etc.). Test the suitability of the proposal through pilot courses in the countries of the partners. Disseminate, promote and make accessible our proposal through universal means of dissemination and accessible to all types of users (including people with disabilities). Obtain recognition from the Spanish qualifications institute (ideally also in the partner countries of the project). Thanks to the AllTourist Project, the final recipients will be able to have access to social tourism training in 5 main strategic lines: CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, SOLIDARITY, SUSTAINABILITY, INFORMATION, TRAINING AND AWARENESS and TRANSVERSALITY for the inclusion in general policies and tourism development in particular. The main direct recipients are training centres in the areas that can benefit from social tourism, which is why they have involved educational institutions in the field of tourism, universities, local development associations, small entrepreneurs of new forms of tourism, interpretive guides, specialists in the enhancement of heritage and entities specializing in social tourism, which ensure a continuous and sustainable dissemination of the project and its products. The final recipients will be the current and future professionals of activities related to tourism, local development and the dissemination of heritage, which benefit not only the sectors most in need of them, but also (as can be seen in the O5), whole of society. On the other hand, the European Union itself needs the training of professionals in social tourism capable of developing, implementing and coordinating their priorities in tourism policy. The project was approved with a significant budget cut, eliminating the subsidies for O1 and O2 products, despite which the AllTourist decided to develop them also to have a better diagnosis of the current situation of training in Social Tourism in the EU and a more global vision of how it could be implemented in regulated training. Both products have been downloaded in the corresponding platform.O1: Investigation of community regulations 2014-2020. From the prospection work carried out, it can be deduced that, up to now, there are no specific regulated training proposals in this field and nevertheless there is a clear need and a growing demand. O2: Development of the transversal competence of ""specialist in social tourism HORIZONTE 20202. A competition proposal in Social Tourism has been developed.O3: Pilot structured training course for the evaluation and testing of the new competence. Five pilot courses have been developed (1 for each partner) in the 4 project countries. The development of these courses involved new inputs that improved the design and contents of the O4 and O5. O4: Pedagogical materials for students. In addition to developing a training material in dual alternation, during the transnational meetings was seen the need to develop a complementary verification sheet that has also been developed.O5: Methodological guide with open educational materials (OER). It has been developed in the 4 languages of the partners and in English. It has a specific section of Social Tourism marketing. This is an innovation worldwide; there were no reference materials on a subject that is crucial for the experts. It is accessible to people with visual disabilities. E2: Evaluation seminar. An evaluation seminar was held at the University of Jaén with the assistance of ... In addition, the World President of the OITS was present, who showed the interest and relevance of the training proposal developed by AllTourist. In total, 119 organizations and experts joined, involving more than 21.328 indirect beneficiaries. In addition, the participation of the ISTO ensures the involvement of 150 agencies in 36 countries and future access to the UNWTO."

CAMPUS DE EXCELENCIA INTERNACIONAL DEL MARFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2021-1-IT01-KA220-VET-000033291Funder Contribution: 294,844 EUR<< Background >>Underwater archaeological tourism is, among the new segments of tourism, one of the most sophisticated and interesting, and the Mediterranean sea offers equipped sites of great interest. Many studies have shown that the development and valorisation of tourism on underwater cultural heritage can benefit from an economic point of view and its development is also closely linked to the preservation of the environment and the seas. However, the assessment of the current situation in underwater archaeological sites results having some main failures, in particular:- Fragmented legislation for the protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage and lack of protocols for the enhancement and valorisation of this heritage;- Low specialization/training of cultural operators and the absence of experts with knowledge on how to create underwater archaeological itineraries; in fact, operators competences are limited to the interpretation of the heritage and to the collaboration with diving centres, but they lack of competences on the management, valorization and capitalization of these sites.- Lack of a unified approach for the management and valorisation of underwater archaeology at European level. In this aspect it is evident that some countries are more advanced in terms of skills for the valorization of this heritage, while others have greater gaps. The project will thus address the above mentioned needs of increased specialization, clear and unified legislation and better management.<< Objectives >>The general aim of the project U-Mar is to develop the knowledge and the valorization of heritage related to underwater archaeology, through the following specific objectives:1) Training professional figures with specific skills in underwater archaeology, how to valorize it and how to manage these cultural sites. The project will therefore train new experts capable of fostering the touristic offer of these sites from multiple points of view, by setting up an ad hoc innovative training course.2) Developing sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism around underwater archaeology, improving the tourist-cultural offer and expanding the reference target of users. These objectives will be reached also by making underwater archaeology more accessible to people not willing or not able to dive or swim, by creating digital pathways to the sites and by developing interpretation centres on land. 3) Provide guidelines for organizations that want to develop strategies for enhancing the underwater archaeological heritage, with different possibilities of application depending on the context and with a particular focus on the creation of underwater archaeological itineraries, with their specific heritage and on the professional’s skills required.4) Increase knowledge of the underwater archaeological heritage and the importance of its conservation and enhancement, not only by tourists, but above all by young people and local communities living in those territories.<< Implementation >>Project objectives will be reached through the implementation of the following activities, divided into Work Packages:WP1 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT -Coordination, technical and financial managementWP2 - NEW TRAINING COURSE ON UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGY FOR CULTURAL OPERATORS-Realization of one Transnational Training for Trainers involving organizations staff working together for the development of:-One New Innovative Training Course on underwater archaeology for cultural operators that will include new innovative subjects for the enhancement and management of underwater archaeological sites;-Realization of 5 on-site testing training in partners countriesWP3 - DEVELOPMENT OF U-MAR E-LEARNING PLATFORM-Assessment and research phase by partners + technical design of the Platform-Confrontation with stakeholders-Collection of information and materials to be uploaded on different Platform’s sections-Upload of contents and launching of the PlatformWP4 - CREATION OF INTERPRETATION CENTRES ON UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGY- Research on the state of art -Collection of inputs and materials-Definition of learning pathways and storytelling-Setting up of interpretation Centres-WP5 - COMMUNICATION AND DISSEMINATION - Realization of Transnational and Local dissemination plans-Implementation of communication activities-Organization of multiplier events<< Results >>U-Mar expected results will be following:R1. The creation of one NEW TRAINING COURSE on underwater archeological sites for cultural operators. R1.1. 5 on-site training courses that will take place in each partner country to test the new realized training course and refine/adapt it on the basis of the feedback received from the tests.R2. The setting up of an E-LEARNING PLATFORM to access the training opportunities on underwater heritage, to access information on existing sites and their activities. R3. The development of INTERPRETATION/LEARNING CENTRES on Underwater Archeology along the Phoenicians' Route - Cultural Route of the Council of Europe. Along with these 3 main results, the project will also:- Lay the groundwork for the formalization of a training course specifically designed for those who work or want to work within underwater archaeological sites, to be incorporated into VET programs or other training institutions.- Promote the accessibility of underwater sites to all types of visitors, thanks to the enhancement of digital tools.

To date, 38 Cultural Routes have been identified and certified, but only a few of them are known and regularly visited, highlighting a certain discrepancy among Routes. Unfortunately, despite the efforts, most of the Cultural Routes haven’t achieved the expected results in terms of enhancement of memory, history and European heritage and promotion of cultural tourism and sustainable cultural developmentThe main causes are linked to (a) the lack of some crucial professional skills of Cultural Route staff, who have a hybrid education background, well prepared from the artistic and cultural point of view but in need to acquire innovative and transversal competences, on cultural management and audience development above all, (b) the limited economic resources of the Cultural Route coordinators organisations, (c) the lack of funds at European level dedicated to supporting innovative training methodologies focused on Cultural Route professions; (d) the high standards required to maintain the label of CR of the Council of Europe, (e) the absence of efficient, tested and shared educational modules for Cultural Route staff training; (F) the lack of a strong and strategic alliance among the Routes and private/public sectors involved in local CR. tourism and cultural services development.Starting from these difficulties, the objective of FAB ROUTE project is to contribute to the enhancement of Cultural Routes by designing (1) a new innovative educational module to allow Cultural Routes’ members and their networks to improve skills and knowledge on several topics such as Cultural Heritage Management; Project Management focused on sustainability; Audience analysis and development; Cultural marketing and branding; Public engagement; Capacity building; Models of governance; Promotion of citizens’ participation etc; (2) a new development model aimed at promoting & including Cultural Routes activities in the system of cultural and tourism services.Through planned project activities it is expected that: a) Cultural Route Operators will increase their transversal management, entrepreneurial skills and the strategies to promote their heritage; b) Alliance among CR associations, public/private touristic and cultural services providers and research centers will be strengthened. In this way, Cultural Routes will exploit their full potential as drivers for social and economic transformation. To reach these goals, the project foresees 2 training sessions carried out in Italy and in Luxembourg by the University of Bologna using an innovative methodology based on case studies construction, audio-visual training tools and research on skills needs to tailor the module on CR needs. More than 50 people will be trained with the project tools and the materials and methodology will be available in 5 European languages, allowing large scale exploitation of the tool directly tested with the CR members located in different EU countries. The project will be implemented by 8 partners: 6 European Cultural Routes officially recognized by the Council of Europe (ATRIUM - Architecture of Totalitarian Regimes in Europe’s Urban Memory and Phoenician Routes registered in Italy; European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture and Heritage based in Luxembourg, The Olive Tree Cultural Foundation based in Greece, The European Routes of Emperor Charles V with headquarters in Spain and the Via Regia based in Germany – even though based and registered in one county, each Association/Cultural Route is composed by a number of authorities located in other European countries), the Center for Advanced Studies in Tourism – CAST University of Bologna (responsible for scientific coordination) and ARGO, a private company specialized in the implementation of cultural projects with important expertise on audio-visual training production and digital communication strategy.
