Development of civilization, use of high technologies, comfort and high standard of living in the city have made youth know either a little or even nothing about our ancestors' lives, activities and traditions. Some young people have a chance to learn about the past from their grandparents' stories or visiting folk fairs. Therefore, our project's aim is to get to know the issues connected with history, tradition and dying occupations of Podkarpackie and Costa Azul Regions. Students participating in the project will learn about history, culture output of their regions- little homelands. Going back to roots will have the influence on students' families, schools or local communities. The project will involve 12 students and 3 teachers from Poland and 12 students and 3 teachers from Portugal. Each school will have a visit for 10 days in each partner's country. We are going to organise lectures and discussions concerning history of Podkarpackie and Costa Azul in cooperation with Ethnographic Museum and Museum of Rzeszów History in Rzeszów, Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum in Setubal and National Museum of Natural History and Science in Lisbon. "This project takes place in two different vocational schools, specializing in optician training. The first school is France in the town of Cholet ""La Providence"" and the other is in Poland in the town of Poznań ""Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych im"". The project is for students in their first or second year of their A levels (Baccalauréat), between 15 and 18 years old. The European aspect of this project is fundamental to both structures since it fits into a context of exchange and cultural development. In addition to the lingusitic asset (english), the professional aspect is also a major trait of this program. Beyond practical excercises, an exchange enables the young to experiment what an opticians' is like, in France and in Poland. This will give the participant a realistic vision of the opportunitites in both countries. Developing cultural activities in that exchange will add to the pedagogical aspect with an opening on Europe, which is valuable for the personal development of a vocational school student. Through various acitivites in France and Poland, the students will discover, compare and share skills and knowledge specific to each country. This exchange will be an oppotunity to develope a cross-disciplinary approach in different modules such as french, english, art, sport, history and vocational learning. New vocational school programs give a specific importance to this transversality and an insight into Europe by offering the possibility, through programs like Erasmus+, to carry out their professional training in a foreign environment, inside the European Union. It is precisely this dimension that enables the teaching team to cover both civil and society issue subjects, as well as how cultural exchanges play a crucial role in developing an open mind to others. Professional skills will be shared by the participants in France and Poland, thus giving them an insight into new ways of functioning, as well as opportunities to specialise, find internships and perhaps even: jobs. Thanks to two preliminary work trips, P1 and P2, we will be able to create this program that has the objective of building up partnerships between the two schools, exchanging trainees, KA 102 and exchanging employees in new profesional environments (KA 101) for them to follow classes and take part in the life of a french or polish school. Passing on to the youth the notion of mobility, at a time when social networks surround them, is a key point of this project. Digital tools that favor the younger generations, for communication, learning and discovering do not only revolve around virtual communication. We give importance to the understanding of this idea and it should enable the youth, through the exchange, to understand the concept of integration. We chose to work with a polish school because of the current economical growth of the countrt and widespread use of the English language. Our goal is to show the students the importance of European shared experiences by giving them a practical professional program with various activities and one common aspect : Optician training. The activities will show the diversity and multitude of job opportunities within this field. The participant will discover the importance of language in retail, in workshops and developing the ability respond to the client's expectations, whilst adapting oneself to the country's requirements. A successful exchange will give to the student all these assets with a main focus : enabaling them to construct themselves as European citizens."

The project titled “Regional traditions eternally living” involved 2 schools, Primary School from Koszyce Wielkie, Poland and Scoala Gimnaziala from Sinsimion, Romania. The participants of the project were all students aged 10-15 years, attending our schools in years 2020/2021 and 2021/2022. The project was a response to the unsatisfactory results of surveys conducted among students of both schools on the knowledge of the region and language skills. In addition, we wanted to strengthen the long-term cooperation of Polish and Romanian youth, focusing on getting to know and popularizing the culture, folklore and folk art characteristic of the places where we live. The project pursued the following goals:- strengthening cooperation between partner schools,- fostering contact and intercultural dialogue of students between schools,- promoting learning of English as the main tool in international communication,- emphasizing the essence of culture, tradition and history of the region as an element of patriotism and national awareness. Our project also assumed equalizing opportunities for people with limited social skills and for people with disabilities. The assumed objectives of the project were implemented through the following activities: creating a historical performance by partner schools and disseminating them in English, e.g. on eTwinning platform, YouTube, organizing art and knowledge competitions on historical topics, participating in workshops on crafts, painting and cooking, participation in historical tours around partner school regions, preparing multimedia presentations and noticeboards by students about partner schools, including geographic location, national symbols, traditions, history and culture of the regions, promotion of important events in the history of Poland and Romania through photos of the celebrations of national holidays in English, Romanian and Polish.During the project, there were two short-term exchanges of students, one exchange per school. During these mobilities, students participated in performances, demonstrations, activities and projects where they broadened their knowledge of the history and culture of the partner countries, learned openness, tolerance, communicativeness and the ability to cooperate in a group. After the completed activities and mobility, project participants shared their knowledge and impressions with other students, both schools organized the Erasmus Day, the results and materials from the project were available on the school websites and eTwinning platform and the idea of participating in the project was disseminated in the region through articles in the local newspaper. Thanks to the participation in this project we achieved the intended goals, as evidenced by the results of evaluation surveys, observations and positive feedback from both project participants and the local environment. Moreover, the implementation of the project enhanced the image of our schools among local institutions and communities.
