BUNTA ESPERANTO ASOCIO,DEUTSCHER TURNER-BUND EV,Kosmo Strategio ltd.,Hispana Esperantista Junulara SocietoFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2017-2-DE04-KA205-015515Funder Contribution: 49,960.1 EURIn this project, coordinated by German Esperanto Youth, five organisations from Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK will actively cooperate on the topic of gender equality and inclusion. The activities will be focused on the exchange of better practices, training of young volunteers and implementation of innovative training tools and materials related to social inclusion and fight against discrimination, mainly aimed at raising awareness about these key topics in the youth work, with a particular focus on gender equality. One of the main concerns of the consortium is the skill empowerment of their active volunteers, filling the gap of the skill-mismatch which often affects the volunteers involved in youth NGOs, and a smooth transfer of knowledge between trainers and trainees. For this reason – besides many courses and activities implemented by some of the partners involved in this project –, some projects about skill empowerment of volunteers have been designed so far, both in the framework of Grundtvig and of Erasmus+. Based on a needs-analysis carried out by our partnership, this project aims to empower the skills of volunteers, to share best experience in a European dimension and to develop and disseminate tools and reusable resources to raise the quality of NGOs activities about raising awareness about any form of discrimination, in the participating countries and beyond. The main project activities will therefore be four transnational project meetings (the Netherlands, November 2017; Italy, March 2018; Slovakia, October 2018; Germany, December 2018), aimed at coordinating the project activities and at exchanging better practices and at collecting and creating proper training and informative materials about the main topic of the project. Furthermore, the project envisages a five-day training activity in Spain (July 2018), focused on the fight against discrimination, with a particular focus on promoting linguistic rights and gender equality. The participants in this project are volunteers within the NGO worldwide network the partner organisations are part of. This will ensure a wide dissemination scope and a high impact of the project results, giving an added value to this partnership. After each project meeting, the partners will run activities at national and local level. Innovative training tools and best practices will be presented, discussed and adapted to the activities of each partner and disseminated within local and national networks, and the created and collected training materials and tools will be available online even beyond the end of the project's lifespan. The expected results of the project are identifiable in terms of increased awareness about the topics faced by the project in the participants, of empowerment not only of their skills and knowledge but also of their self-confidence in advocacy regarding those topics. The envisaged impact of the partnership project is quantifiable in terms of a higher number as well as improved effectiveness of non-formal learning activities of NGOs beyond the borders of the partnership in the participating countries as well as in other countries, thanks to the multiplier effect of the project. In the long-term this will contribute to raise the quality of the activities carried out in the framework of youth NGOs - through effective communication -, expected to be able to mobilise young people and to raise awareness about issues specifically related to fostering gender equality and fighting discrimination and to engage young people in an active European citizenship dimension.

TEJO and its national sections carry out their activities and strive to achieve their aims through the international language Esperanto. Furthermore, TEJO is officially represented and active in the framework of the European Youth Forum, UNESCO, UN, ICMYO, where it gives voice to stakeholders and activists interested in issues related to linguistic justice and democracy, intercultural cooperation and sustainable development. In this project six volunteer-based NGOs from the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, Denmark actively cooperated; the activities were focused on exchange of better practices and identification of innovative curricula, materials and methodologies related to training of trainers in the field of youth organisations. One of the key factors for the quality and success of non-formal learning activities carried out in the NGOs involved in the project is the capacity of the trainers and youth workers involved. Based on a needs-analysis carried out by our partnership, this project aims to qualify our pool of freelance and voluntary trainers and youth workers, to share best experience in a European dimension and to develop and disseminate tools and resources to raise the quality of educational activities in the participating countries and beyond.Main project activities were therefore three transnational project meetings in Germany (August 2015), The Netherlands (November 2015) and Poland (July 2016), aimed at coordinating the project activities and, at exchanging better practices and at collecting and creating training materials. Furthermore, the project envisaged a ""training of trainers"" meeting in Italy (March 2016); trainers and youth workers who work as volunteers or freelancers within the NGO network coordinated worldwide by TEJO were reached. After each training of trainers the partners ran activities at national and local level. Innovative training curricula and methodology were presented, discussed and adapted to the activities of each partner and disseminated within local and national networks, and the created and collected training materials and tools are still available online even beyond the end of the project's lifespan. The envisaged impact of the partnership project is a higher number and learning efficiency of non formal learning activities of NGOs beyond the borders of the partnership in the participating countries. In the long-term this will contribute to raise the quality of non-formal learning activities in the framework of youth NGOs."

During 2015 more than a million asylum seekers and immigrants arrived in Europe. In the face of this crisis, governments have to date largely not succeeded in finding pan-European solutions, relying instead on national approaches. Refugees – and the unfortunate situations that made them refugees – are a reality. This is a reality we all need to deal with and act upon. Whether it is by undertaking actions that will help to minimise the number of refugees in the future, or by supporting civilians in areas of conflict, or assisting refugees in the countries they flee to – it is a human reality. A reality which demands a human solution. Depending on whether we represent political institutions or civil society, our roles and interventions will be different. But the task is the same - to give everyone the Human Right to MOVE.Many civil society organisations – not least sport organisations – have shown their human capacity by assisting refugees in finding just a little dignity, a little friendliness and a little happiness in their lives. To do this they acted quickly and have done it the way in which civil society is strongest. Simply by offering the refugees the same grassroots activities as they offer other citizens. This happens in thousands of places across Europe. It comes from the bottom up in local areas and is driven by volunteers. It is a fantastic symbol of the Human Right to MOVE being something we give to each other. The project Inclusion of Refugees through Sport had as its overall aim to strengthen the societal inclusion of refugees via the informal and non-formal learning opportunities sport and physical activities provide. With project we took a different approach by aiming to strengthen European cooperation in the field of adult learning to enhance inclusion of refugees at the level of civil society organisations. With IRTS project and its activities we have proof that interaction and informal learning can lead to an increase in Social, Intellectual, Financial, Physical, Emotional and Individual Capital for participants and learners. We have developed tools•good practice collection https://irts.isca.org/collection/ •a Grundtvig video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h10Fbmwcy4E •a toolkit https://irts.isca.org/implementation-guide/•an online learning resource https://learn.isca.org/courses/irts/ for grassroots sport and non-sport organisation to use when engaging refugees in sport and physical activities. Organisations invite and help refugees to be physical active, acquire positive life skills, attitudes and values. They improve their language and communication skills, get a better understanding of cultural norms and codes of conduct and form a mutual respect for common rules and underlying values. Moreover sports organisations and their leaders enhanced leadership and organisational skills for important contributions to the learning, self-esteem and, ultimately, employability of the individual refugees involved.Partners and other participating organisations established and joined the web networking platform, and committed to the sustainability of the project with their active engagement and recruitment of new organisations to expand the network. All new organisations receive consulting and advice to exploit the project outputs even further, via MOVE Beyond project and new Network platform. ISCA, as the lead organisation, is committed to maintaining and updating the platform with new materials at least quarterly, as well as inviting further interested organisations as the network expands. ISCA is very experienced in maintaining such networks and resources and is currently doing so for five thematic networks. ISCA is also able to exploit other international projects and meetings, as well as its annual congress, to enable the network organisations to be in touch also physically with regular intervals ISCA will continue to promote and monitor the use of these tools as part of our ongoing dissemination efforts. The migration and inclusion agenda remains an important issue that requires effective cooperation between European countries, so we believe that we set an example that others can take up, follow and develop further in the future.Full report is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/09neuohedafddmq/IRTS_Final%20Narrative_Report_October%202019.pdf?dl=0

The partners in this project were NGOs from Germany, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, France. All of them were active in organising language and training courses, seminars and informal meetings in the context of promoting international cooperation and intercultural exchange in the field of youth. Key factor for the quality and success of voluntary teachers was the skills set of the participants involved; based on a needs-analysis carried out by the partnership, this project aimed to qualify the pool of voluntary language teachers to share best experience in a European dimension and to develop and disseminate tools and resources to raise the quality of educational activities in the participating countries and beyond the borders of the partnership. Main project activities were therefore a training of teachers in France (March 2018); 13 teachers - who are working mainly as volunteers or freelancers within the NGO network the partners are part of - were reached. After each meeting, the partners run activities at national and local level. Furthermore, three transnational project meetings were envisaged, both as coordinating meetings and as workshops to work on the project outcomes envisaged by the project (Italy, September 2017; Poland, December 2017; Slovakia, July 2018). Innovative training curricula and methodology were presented, discussed and adapted to the activities of each partner and disseminated within local and national networks. As main products of the project, teaching materials and methods were implemented. The envisaged impact of the partnership project was a higher number and learning efficiency of volunteer-based language teaching activities of NGOs in the participating countries. In the long-term perspective this contributed to raise the quality and recognition of youth work.
