<< Objectives >>Within DOCC we will develop a debate youth club model for delivering continuous, long-term programmes for youth participation and active citizenship based on debate and deliberation methodology. The outputs will support youth workers and organisations in engaging youth from immigrant backgrounds and increase their capacity to work with youth with different needs-refugee youth or second-generation immigrant youth. Outputs of the project will directly support 50 youth workers and 120 young people.<< Implementation >>To ensure high-quality outputs, partners will assemble debate model youth clubs with at least 10 young people and at least 3 youth workers per organisation who will be the co-creators and test-implementers of project materials. Their continuous participation will ensure our outputs are in line with the needs of our youth workers and participants. To test the toolkit on deliberation events, we will conduct 4 deliberation events nationally and 1 international online deliberation event.<< Results >>The concrete results are:Debate methodology package: debate youth club curricula and session plans and Train the trainer's toolkit for youth workers to become confident users of debate-based methods in youth work.Deliberation methodology package: a deliberation implementation toolkit, an e-learning course on deliberation set-up and a youth-friendly adaptation of the Your priorities platform to support youth and youth workers to use deliberation to gain practical experience in participation.
