Description

"SARS-Cov2 experience is putting a strain on their right to experience life and sociality, putting them strongly in front of their adult responsibility in the immediate future, without being able to respect the right time (long enough) for a gradual psychological maturation. The context of the pandemic emergency has required them to make an effort for which they are not fully prepared, and to which a gap has been added in their knowledge of the importance of protection, which leads to an unawareness of their valuable contribution to society. At the same time, SARS-CoV2 also put a strain on the work of educators at all educational and institutional levels, whose priority was to try to manage, in such a delicate situation, their young people busy in different activities, and at the same time raising their awareness and remind them of responsible behaviour. This educational objective has shown gaps resulting from a lack of training for youth educators (except for some sporadic local initiatives), which has left educators and institutions disorganised in the face of an urgent need, such as that generated by the pandemic. The objective of the project is to analyse the Good Practices of the partners, implemented before and during the COVID emergency, by collecting and exchanging information on a careful analysis of :- The emerging needs of young people and youth organisations- The answers to the needs that have emerged: new methodologies, integration of contents, strengthening of pedagogic aspects, etc..- Educational and content methodologies put in place to raise awareness of civic responsibility among young people in relation to the state of emergency.- Difficulties and strengths related to the elaboration of content for a correct communication strategy- Any reluctance shown by young people, both in relation to the assumption of civil responsibility in a state of emergency and to the change of educational methodologies- Organizational and network difficulties and strengths with institutional and local realities- The most useful tools for training, supporting and managing young people in emergency situations.EduSafe provides training for 12 youth workers and 8 young people, working together to acquire the methods of the proposed BP and the following learning outcomes:- Adequate knowledge of risk situations and correct behaviour for the protection of the whole community- New informal, formal and non-formal education methodologies (face-to-face and e-learning), which allow the implementation of educational activities and an adequate psycho-emotional support of young people.- New theories and techniques to improve the effectiveness of mentorship, especially at a time of crisis- The ability to create collaborative and trusting environments among young people and between young people and youth workers- The ability to stimulate the spirit of resilience- The ability to change training content from face-to-face to online and to update it according to contingencies. The project will be implemented using a cooperative working approach between the partners, based on their specific competence. The impact that EduSafe expects is international and aims to actively involve all local stakeholders, as well as other youth workers present on the territory. Indeed, except for sporadic and timeless initiatives, there is no European Country (nor in the world) that has specific training in the field of civil protection addressed young people, so that local administrations, which are struggling to contain the ""risky"" attitude of young people, will benefit from the presence of youth workers trained to awaken a culture of risk prevention and containment. This will benefit the whole community, which will feel safer (especially those most at risk) and supported in educating young people in the culture of civil protection (especially families and school staff). Indeed, EduSafe's DEOR Strategy is intrinsically linked to the objective of impact, which aims to generate the valorisation of results thanks to the benefit of the 'multiplier' effect that will be achieved, in practice, through the production of a specific Recommendation for each type of of the communication recievers."
