Title: Development of guidelines for inclusion of pregnant women in research in Zimbabwe. Broad objective: To come up with a draft guideline on inclusion of pregnant women. This is intended as a "best practise" document since we don`t have one Key goals: 1) To review literature selectively on inclusion of pregnant women in research 2) To write a well constructed new daft guideline on inclusion of pregnant women in research 3) To evaluate the adequacy of the guiding document for its quality, content and applicability 4) To subject the guiding document for public open review for comments Method A panel of professors is going to guide this undertaking by having a meeting to guide on relevant literature to be reviewed and also selected databases. The timelines for completion of task are going to be set.This will be followed by a systematic literature review on inclusion of pregnant women in research in a well equipped library. Well constructed new guidelines will be drafted. The document is going to be reviewed by the users for quality, content and applicability. Comments are going to be incoperated in the final documnt. Results A well researched guiding document for use in research involving pregnant women
